[b]Seeking qualified candidates for Fall 2008 – Spring 2009 fellowships[/b]
at the Johns Hopkins Institute for Policy Studies

The Johns Hopkins University Institute for Policy Studies
is pleased to announce the annual competition for Italian scholars
to participate in the
Johns Hopkins University - International Fellows Program in Urban Studies
Candidates must have demonstrated a high degree of experience and professional competence in urban studies research, and be capable of carrying out independent research and inquiry.
Additional requirements:
- Cross-national research proposal on a policy issue related to the growth, decline, and/or revitalization of cities and the well-being of their citizens
- At minimum, a university diploma that is the equivalent of an American Bachelor or Arts or Science degree
- High degree of written and spoken English fluency
- Urban scholars, policymakers, and practitioners are eligible Successful candidates will conduct research at the Johns Hopkins Institute for Policy Studies for four to eight months and will receive a stipend to cover tuition, living expenses, travel to and from the United States, travel within the United States, and participation in the 38th annual conference of the International Urban Fellows Association.
