[i]Metropolitan Futures[/i] 15 to 17 September 2010 Berlin One of the central concerns of the conference is how to use the potentials of our metropolitan regions more efficient in the future. In globalised economic and political systems metropolitan regions are the main engines of the worldwide economic, social, political and cultural exchange. At the same time many questions of accessibility, traffic streams and innovative logistics are challenges yet to be faced. In exchanging opinions and knowledge about the recent developments in these fields lies the possibility to form the future in a positive way. The exchange of knowledge not only strengthens the position of cities and regions in the regional competition but also enhances a strategic cooperation in communications, traffic and economical ways.
