The aim of AlpenCorS project, the acronym of Alpen Corridor South - the corridor south of the Alps - is to develop a “bottom up” approach for interpreting the meaning and the utility of one of the most important European corridors (i.e. Corridor V) linking Lyon and Budapest.Interreg III B Programme Alpine Space allowed Veneto Region and its Austrian, French and Slovenian partners to develop the project which is now being presented to international policy makers and economic forces of North-East of Italy.Corridor V is not only a matter concerning transport infrastructure but it regards, above all, economic relations among European regions in a contest of globalisation characterised by a strong territorial competition.
