The themes of the international conference "The new culture of cities" (Rome, Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei, November 2002), presented in Planum Showspace, were inspired by Lewis Mumford's books and works.
On the occasion of the meeting Planum contributed to the convention with the survey "The future of cities: a first internet survey, passing through Planum" by Patrizia Gabellini and Giovanni Ginocchini.
