INTERNATIONAL PRACTICES

The Transport Planning and Logistics Service of the
Territorial Programming and Mobility Systems General Management illustrates its international activities, with special regard to the many partnership programs implemented thanks to the European Union Interreg joint-funding scheme:

A network of cities working according to a shared and coordinated approach for the development of urban logistic solutions that are both feasible and sustainable.
The goals of the project include: developing, testing out and disseminating a common methodology for the analysis, selection, feasibility and implementation of "urban logistic solutions", reducing project implementation times and risks of failure; the initiative is shared by a wide network of small- and medium-sized cities in the CADSES area.

Progetto Imonode:
Effective integration of goods transport nodes and modes in the CADSES area
The IMONODE project is designed to explore possible options and to suggest solutions and concrete actions resulting in greater use and access to corridors V and X for the transport of goods, giving precedence to rail transport.

Progetto I- Log:
Industrial logistics and intermode transport for the development of SME's. I-Log promotes a strategic use of logistics and intermode transport and intends to serve as a link between the economic requirements of SME's (cost reduction, promotion of customer service, development of scale economies) and local environmental and social needs, such as the quality of life and pollution control.

Progetto ENLoCC:
European Network of Logistic Competence Centres
The ENLoCC project focuses on the need for intensive cooperation at transnational level in the field of Europe-wide transport logistics. The public (or equivalent) bodies of a region must undertake the task of bringing together key logistics actors, both at regional and at transnational level, to start formulating projects geared to the improvement of logistic services and infrastructures.

Progetto Citeair :
The pressure on the cities and regions of Europe for the implementation of EU regulations on the quality of air has given rise to a multitude of initiatives for the development of concrete sustainability prospects, striking the best balance between quality of the environment and economic growth. But the lack of a common approach to the implementation of such rules produced isolated solutions that have revealed a need for initiatives designed to: a) work out better solutions, b) more efficient solutions, c) solutions in keeping with the obligations set forth in the EU directives d) create synergetic effects e) share know-how, knowledge and experiences.

Progetto Sestante: Telematic tools for the Security and Documental Efficiency of the Port and Interport Logistic Chain
The general objective of SESTANTE is to identify and analyse the information and document flows playing a key role in the intermode logistic chain in order to permit the development and application of interoperable Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in support of the creation of integrated transport systems.

Progetto Merope: Telematic tools for innovative mobility and logistic services for urban and metropolitan areas
MEROPE pursues the overall objective of studying and developing evaluation models and telematic tools for the management and control of mobility and logistics in city and metropolitan areas in order to permit the development and application of ICT's in support of the construction of integrated transport systems resulting in enhanced economic competitiveness and improved mobility and overall living conditions in the cities.
