TUB, the Institute for Urban and Regional Planning at the Technical University Berlin is one of five Planning Institutes at German universities and covers nearly all planning features from urban design over land use and regional planning to planning in an international context.
Since 1990 the yearbook “Jahrbuch Stadterneuerung” is published by the Institute of Urban and Regional Planning at TU Berlin and the “Arbeitskreis Stadterneuerung an deutschsprachigen Hochschulen” (Working Group Urban Renewal ar German-speaking Universities). Being the only scientific German publication dealing exclusively with urban renewal, “Jahrbuch Stadterneuerung” provides a comprehensive overview over the theory and the history of urban renewal.
Recently the Institute of Urban and Regional Planning has begun to publish “Planungsrundschau”, a journal with comments on new features on urban and regional planning in Germany with particular attention about Berlin issues.
