The Town Planning Review, which is published by Liverpool University Press since it was established in 1910, is here represented by its editor , the Department of Civic Design University of Liverpool.
The Review is one of the major, fully-refereed journals concerned with urban and regional planning and it has an extensive academic and professional readership in over sixty countries. Papers on all aspects of town and regional planning and development are included in the Review, from the broad fields of theory, policy, practice, implementation and methodology.
While TPRs circulation is worldwide (mostly to OECD-type countries), the readership focus has been increasingly directed towards the scientific and research community rather than the professional and practitioner of earlier days. This has been principally achieved through the adoption of the academic 'blindfold' refereeing system.
Responsibility for editing the Review is shared between Prof. Peter Batey and Prof. David Massey. Mr. Robin Bloxsidge, head of the University Press, serves as Managing Editor, and Ms. Sandra Robinson is the Editorial Assistant. The Review is published quarterly.
